Abstract

Significantly, in the 1970s, Naxalites fought fiercely with the police at many places. At the same time it was also proved that the Naxalites could not be suppressed on the strength of repression, because during the Emergency itself, the Naxalites carried out maximum military action and eliminated the most class enemies. But the military power of the Naxalites also suffered a lot in the conflict with the police. By the end of 1975, the Liberation faction had only one armed contingent left in the Sahar block of Bhojpur and that too had become a nomad which had become difficult for the party to handle. In the end the party dispersed the members of the squad as individual organisers.
